Bing UK Microsoft got the leading search portal in the UK. New bing give lots of traffic from surfers who are in the mood to buy. Get in there and fill your boots.
Ask Jeeves With extensive television advertising, Ask.com fast became one of Britiains top search engines. Simply type a question, click Ask and the results will come up in answer format. Excellent!
HotBot UK Powered by Inktomi, the UK branch of the famous international site. Remember to select the UK/Ireland Results only box before your search.
Blekko is the newest search engine in our list. They are using slahtags to identify and get rid of spam. This engine is growing very quickly.
AltaVista UK Bye Bye. Good luck with Overture. The glory days for Altavista is gone.
LookSmart UK Looksmart have some of the messiest results I have ever seen. Prone to stick in PPC affiliate links. A site remarkably few people search on. I don’t blame them. Useful to submit to for MSN traffic.
Yahoo UK One of the best pay per click platforms today. Advertising here will let you be visible in Bing as well.
Lycos UK Appalling results, they state the results are from UK & Ireland when in actual fact the results are from Timbuktoo and Outer Mongolia! They used to have a good directory, then they hid it to make sure you couldn’t find anything useful.
